Founded in 1922, the APA is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing people and pets together, advancing humane education and creating programs beneficial to the human/animal bond. We take in approx 5,000 stray and surrendered pets annually.

Shelter Hours:
Monday-Saturday 10am to 5pm
Veterinary Clinic Hours:
Monday-Friday 10am to 1pm; 2pm to 4:30pm
Saturday 10am to 4pm

Our humane education programs serve people of all ages, from 1 to 101, with a special focus on teaching compassion and empathy towards animals. By providing educational programming of this nature, we advance animal welfare issues and create a world that is more kind to people and animals alike.
