A love for learning develops naturally in Rossman’s Junior Kindergarten program, the first step in a cohesive eight-year independent elementary school education. An 8:1 student-teacher ratio allows the school’s three experienced Junior Kindergarten teachers to form deep connections with every child. These relationships cultivate confidence, encourage risk taking and improve learning as Juniors build academic and social skills. Formal and informal learning experiences focused on discovery, high-level thinking, creative problem solving and observation lay the foundation for lifelong learning. As part of the larger school community, Juniors also enjoy the advantages of specialty subjects — Spanish, music and physical education — taught by specially trained educators. Juniors participate fully in school life, including mentoring relationships and character development programs.

Join us for coffee and a deeper look into Rossman's Junior Kindergarten program. Observe how our experienced teachers carefully design materials, activities and the classroom environment to capitalize on children's natural curiosity, joy and playfullness. Talk with teachers and administrators and discover how the Junior Kindergarten experience lays a foundation for academic success, strong character development and a lifetime of learning within a rich, engaging and nurturing school community. Stick around after the program to tour the school with our Director of Admission.
