Camp Champ and Pony Pals Camp
Our most popular camp – Camp Champ – is designed for individuals who need additional supports and a low camper to staff ratio. Camp Champ is an introduction to horses and great for individuals of all abilities who have very limited horse exposure. Camp Champ incorporates the traditional camp activities - music, art, outdoor water activities, etc. - with horsemanship skills. A significant amount of camper’s time will be learning how to groom, lead, tack, and ride horses! We will also enjoy the atmosphere and activities that only 90 outdoor acres can provide. This camp is great for individuals looking to increase social skills, self-confidence, and just to have fun! No prior horse experience or exposure is required for Camp Champ. All abilities.
Pony Pals is designed for individuals who have horse experience and are able to be on the horse and steer their horse independently at the walk. There will be riding lessons throughout your week of camp, but you will also learn horsemanship skills including leading, grooming, tacking, and even some basic first aid for horses. This is a more traditional summer horse camp.
Both camps are held at the TREE House of Greater St. Louis campus located at 332 Stable Lane, Wentzville, MO. We have indoor and outdoor riding arenas, as well as several trails on 90 acres. Our multi-purpose room is air-conditioned and is where we will eat snacks and perform crafts. Our indoor riding arena has two industrial size barn fans that provide a nice breeze.
