Camp Kesem Mizzou

Camp Kesem is a FREE camp for children ages 6-18 who have or had a parent with cancer.  Camp Kesem Mizzou will offer its annual camp in Summer 2022, open to 110 campers from throughout the area. Our camp is offered free of charge and is open to any 6-18 year old who has, or has had, a parent or primary caregiver with cancer. We also offer other free programs throughout the year, including our upcoming Friends + Family Day which is open to current families, new families, and community supporters, which will be held this Spring. We will have programming for both the children and the adults, and it is a great way to connect with other families impacted by cancer.

We are one of over 100 active Camp Kesem chapters throughout the United States, and our program is staffed by student volunteers from Mizzou along with nurses, mental health professionals, and a representative from the national organization.  As a national organization, Camp Kesem has over 20 years of experience bringing top-quality programs that have a significant impact on children and families.  Our programs are designed to allow children the opportunity to find support, have fun, and feel safe, loved, and respected. We strive to deliver a transformative and inclusive experience to all families, and to that end, we provide support with things like transportation, supplies for camp, and translation/interpreters. 

Our camp is located at Camp Mihaska in Bourbon, Missouri from August 7-12, 2022. Applications for new camper will open on February 23, 2022 and you can apply on kesem.force.com.
