Community School is an independent elementary and preschool in St. Louis, Missouri, serving families with children age 3 through sixth grade. Community allows young children’s gifts to flourish in an environment of active, experiential learning. The 7:1 student/teacher ratio allows personalized attention for each student. The children learn by doing, fueling their intellectual, emotional, creative, and social growth. Children are also given opportunities to interact with and learn from the older students. Community’s expansive campus – with its woods, trails, pond, fields and light-filled classrooms – provides a perfect safe environment for this early exploration. Parents value the security the secluded campus provides and the nurturing environment the teachers create.
