• Families can take a trip to Kirkwood Safety Town, a new interactive exhibit at The Magic House designed to educate the region's youngest residents about safety. Co-created by The Magic House and the City of Kirkwood, Kirkwood Safety Town features a child-sized neighborhood including a fire station, police station, electric company, farmers' market, train station, park and house. Visitors can hop on trikes to travel through the city, learning important traffic, electric and water safety skills along the way. From navigating a railroad crossing to practicing a fire drill, Kirkwood Safety Town provides age-appropriate opportunities to reinforce how children can protect themselves at home, outdoors and on the road. Kirkwood Safety Town also features a bike helmet-fitting station and scheduled visits from community helpers, including fire fighters and police officers.

Kirkwood Safety Town is presented by St. Louis Children's Hospital with supporting sponsorships by Scott Barthelmass Painting Company, COUNTRY Financial, John and Karen Drexler, Firefighters of Kirkwood, Lou Fusz, Lowes Kirkwood, Schicker Automotive Group and Woodard Cleaning & Restoration.
