AstroInnovators Summer Camp - Day 1: Campers will design notebooks to help create important engineering habits. We’ll introduce the importance of teamwork as kids design their very own crew mission patch. Kids will also build, race, and land pasta rovers. |
AstroInnovators Summer Camp - Day 2: NASA engineers have to create many different types of technology to solve problems that have never been solved before. Kids will step into the shoes of an engineer and build several different models of NASA technology such as robotic arms. |
AstroInnovators Summer Camp - Day 3: NASA has many great accomplishments in space, but its research also has a huge impact on Earth! Kids participate in a spinoff treasure hunt and use the Engineering Design Process to help teach others about new uses for NASA technologies. |
AstroInnovators Summer Camp - Day 4: It’s time to re-design! Kids use their work created earlier in the week to solve a problem using the Engineering Design Process $ teamwork! They will need to brainstorm, think outside the box, communicate and create a plan to get their prototype approved! |
AstroInnovators Summer Camp - Day 5: Campers will iterate and improve their spinoffs in preparation for creating a short presentation that captures their thinking and tells their design story. |
