Summer Camps @ The Novel Neighbor
Summer is always a blast at The Novel Neighbor! We are an independent bookstore located in Webster Groves, MO - that also specializes in great kid's art classes and summer camps!
June 3 - 7th...Little Camp On The Prairie
Hitch up the wagons and let’s go! Discover the excitement of pioneer days as we discuss and learn about life on the American frontier through the experiences of Laura Ingalls Wilder. We’ll make crafts, like cornhusk dolls, clove apples, and button necklaces; we’ll churn butter and picnic on the prairie. We’ll play games like Kick the Can or Hide the Thimble. Come have fun while learning about an exciting part of American history!
June 10th - 14th...All About Ancient Egypt
Mummies, hieroglyphics, sphinxes, and more! Travel back in time and across the ocean to explore life in ancient Egypt – using art, creative writing, games, and cooking.
June 17th - June 21st...Show Me St. Louis
What makes St. Louis great? Come find out as we explore the past, present and future of St. Louis through hands-on art projects, literature and photography. Focusing on architectural and landscape photography, we will visit parts of the Webster Groves neighborhood to capture snapshots.
June 24th - June 28th...Finding Art In Nature
Using our local playground, Lockwood Park, as a creative resource, campers will work with a variety of natural materials in order to create colorful weavings, intricate rock mandalas, fairy houses, pinecone gnomes and elves, and many other naturally creative projects for those that love art and the outdoors.
