These programs are recommended for children ages 2–6 and their families, and each 30-minute session is free. Storytelling in the Museum takes place in person on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 to 11:00am, and our bilingual Spanish-English storytelling Cuentos en el Museo occurs second Saturdays and the fourth Friday of each month.
Do you have kids ages two and younger? Before Storytelling in the Museum, join us for Museum Babies from 10:10am to 10:25am.

SEPTEMBER THEMES:
Street Art (Friday, September 1)
In collaboration with Paint Louis, we’ll read stories about street art, murals, and graffiti. Be sure to stop by Paint Louis this weekend to see the artists in action! Possible titles may include: Off the Wall; Boogie Boogie, Y’all; and Anonymouse.
Back to School (Tuesday, September 5)
We’ve got school spirit! Yes, we do! Possible titles may include: This Is a School, School’s First Day of School, and Amy Wu and the Warm Welcome.
Back to School (Friday, September 8)
We’ve got school spirit! Yes, we do! This program is part of our History Exploration Day series. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided by DEAF Inc. Possible titles may include: This Is a School, School’s First Day of School, and Amy Wu and the Warm Welcome.
Hispanic Heritage Month (Tuesday, September 12, and Friday, September 15)
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with these books about Hispanic and Latin American culture and pride! Possible titles may include: Paletero Man, Frida Kahlo and Her Animalitos, and My Abuelita.
Bears (Tuesday, September 19)
Together, we’ll read silly stories about our furry friends—bears! Possible titles may include: A Beary Rainy Day, A Bear to Share, and Blueberry Cake.
International Day of Non-Violence (Tuesday, September 26, and Friday, September 29)
To commemorate International Day of Non-Violence (October 2), we’ll share stories of peace, understanding, and civilian actions of non-violence. Possible titles may include: Be the Change: A Grandfather Gandhi Story; The Youngest Marcher: The Story of Audrey Faye Hendricks, a Young Civil Rights Activist; and Peace.
