Virtual Event: Think Science: Forensic Discoveries with Texas Public Radio

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/21/2020
At TPR’s next Think Science event, we will explore how the use of forensic science can lead to startling discoveries; helping to solve crimes, or unearthing previously hidden evidence and details about people and places that came before us. Learn from experts in the field about how forensic science works, including a virtual tour of an outdoor “body ranch” in central Texas that serves as a research laboratory.

The panel will also explore and discuss the recent archaeological discoveries excavated around the downtown area during the city’s on-going revitalization project, as well as other findings by forensic scientists. And they’ll examine how the forensic sciences shape the development of downtown San Antonio.

Because of the need for current physical distancing, this event will be held live, online via GoToMeeting, rather than as a live, in-person event. Audience members will be able to ask questions via the Q&A function in the web application. The session will be recorded for later posting online.
