When the Indian Trails Branch opened in 1987, it replaced one of the first County Library locations, the Eliza Heidbrink Branch. Indian Trails underwent extensive renovations in 2015 as part of the Your Library Renewed campaign. The branch now features private study rooms, a revamped teen area, and a quiet reading room. Indian Trails offers a full schedule of programs, especially for children and teens. In April 2022, the branch was renamed from Indian Trails to Parkview. The name change was recommended by library employees and is part of SLCL's diversity and inclusion efforts.

Branch History

The Indian Trails Branch opened July 19, 1987. It replaced Eliza Heidbrink, a one-room branch which had been one of the first County Library locations. The branch underwent extensive renovations in 2015. The updates included the addition of an expanded, colorful children's area; a business center with fax, copy and scanning machines; a large community meeting room; a café area with vending machines and tables; two private study rooms; a quiet reading area called the "living room;" and a dedicated teen area.
