Augusta Savage Inspired Clay Sculptures

Celebrate Black History Month and create clay sculptures in honor of artist Augusta Savage! Augusta Savage was a Harlem Renaissance sculptor who was inspired by her community. She was also a community art teacher and activist. Air dry clay and tools will be provided while supplies last. "I have created nothing really beautiful, really lasting, but if I can inspire one of these youngsters to develop the talent I know they possess, then my monument will be in their work."-- Augusta Savage Ideal for ages 6 to 12.
