Squirmy, Slimy, Scaly, Slithery Creatures Kids Love

Get up close and personal with a variety of reptiles, big and small, and learn more about these extraordinary creatures. Educational reptile experiences are provided by the St. Louis Herpetological Society, World Bird Sanctuary and the Missouri Department of Conservation. Herpetologist Serengeti Steve will bring his reptile experience to The Magic House for four sessions during the day. His unique and engaging presentations will take place at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. Squirmy, Slimy, Scaly, Slithery Creatures Kids Love at The Magic House is included free with Museum admission.

Passport To The World: Cultural Program Series- Argentina

Each August Tango performers from around the world travel to Argentina to compete in the annual Tango Festival in Buenos Aires. In celebration of the tango festival dancers from the Convergence Body and Dance Center will be performing the popular dance and hosting workshops for dancers of all ages!

Movies in the Park- Edwardsville City Park

The public is invited to see free family movies on the first Saturday of the month from June to September. All movies will be shown at Edwardsville City Park Bandstand located next to the public library at sunset. Come early, lay down your blanket, take part in pre-movie community activities.

Night Skies Over Babler

Come explore the night sky at the park. Members of the St. Louis Astronomical Society will set up telescopes in the monument field to offer visitors a view of the night sky. Telescopes will be pointed at a variety of objects, including Jupiter and its moons; Saturn and its rings; and the many star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. Everyone is encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and binoculars.
