Advanced middle and high school string and piano students perform in trios, quartets, and quintets, enhancing musicianship, collaboration, and communication. Auditions ensure proper placement. Guided by expert faculty, students engage in coachings, rehearsals, and masterclasses, culminating in a final concert. A rewarding musical journey!
Requirements: Acceptance is based on audition, instrumentation needs for chamber ensembles (trios, quartets, quintets), and readiness for small ensemble playing.
String players need a developed vibrato. Students must be at or beyond the following representative minimum skill levels:
Violin: Suzuki Book 4-Vivaldi a minor Concerto
Viola: Suzuki Book 4-Seitz Concerto #2, 3rd movement
Cello: Suzuki Book 4-Breval Sonata in C Major
Piano: Clementi or Kuhlau Sonatinas
Space is limited. Audition information will be sent after receipt of application.
