Day of Knowledge will be held at The Lodge in Des Peres from 9:30am to 2:30. Lunch will be included. Registeration will be limited to the first 50 girls and their trusted adults. Eligible ages include 9-13 year olds.
Each topic will be led by an expert speaker. The topics include:
“Empowering Pre-Teen Girls”
A female Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist presents on self-esteem, healthy friendships, bullying & self-empowerment
“Promoting a Healthy Body Image”
A female Licensed Nutritionist or Licensed Dietitian discusses promoting a healthy body image, influences of media, exercise, healthy meal planning & eating disorders.
“All About Safety”
A female Police Officer presents practical tips regarding phone & internet safety, along with guidelines for autonomy inside & outside of the home, safety planning, gun safety & suicide prevention.
“Let’s Talk Puberty”
A female OBGYN, Nurse Practitioner or MD who has worked in women’s health presents factual & medically accurate information on puberty, male/female anatomy & reproduction.
