Make It-n-Take It!

Bring the kids or grandkids and join the Sisters in Kirkwood, as we come together to learn about the problems with single-use plastics and actually DO SOMETHING about it!
Everyone is asked to bring a t-shirt you no longer wear and a decent pair of scissors to this free event. After a brief educational conversation, we will work together to transform the shirt into a handy shopping bag!
This is a great opportunity to connect with young people about the challenges facing our planet while getting to know the Sisters and providing hope through a hands-on activity.
Unlike the reusable bags you buy (that are only adding to the amount of stuff that will eventually end up in a landfill), these make use of items you already own. They can easily be washed and dried, so they aren’t harboring bacteria. Plus, it’s a great way to re-purpose that prized T from your favorite event, and the skills you learn can be brought home to use again and again.
Everyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and permission forms for all minors must be signed by a legal guardian.
