From the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights, this week long, hands-on program will give children a bird's eye view of the history and science of flight. Your child will build many different flying devices and explore the science of aerodynamics and flight with the help of Newton's laws. We don't stop there, though, because we're heading out of the atmosphere with a look at rockets and our Galactic neighborhood!

Foundry Art Camp offers children ages 6 to 16 a chance to immerse themselves in creative activities that foster collaboration, enhance artistic abilities, and highlight the powerful role art plays in the world.
Campers will dive into art by exploring the Foundry’s exhibitions, learning about art history, and engaging in discussions with the Foundry’s studio artists. From painting and sculpture to tie-dye and clay work, they’ll create unique pieces to take home and share with loved ones. This hands-on experience across various artistic mediums will inspire and nurture their creative potential.

At Camp Manitowa our summer camp near St. Louis in Southern Illinois strive to provide campers an environment that fosters all the skills parents want their kids to develop early on in life. Our Rend Lake camp is a non-religions program that serves campers 2nd to 9th-grade. Kids gain independence, build self-esteem, and learn about cooperation and problem-solving, all while making new, lifelong friends. We offer a small community for campers so that they feel like they are part of the Manitowa family. By offering structured free choice activities, we encourage kids to feel a sense of belonging and control over their experience, which leaves them feeling empowered and able to learn and grow. They will learn a series of dances and combinations throughout the week, that will be showcased on the final day for guests. Girls will be broken up into groups by grade and skill level.
