An Evening in the Cemetery
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 10/14/2023
Come visit Thornhill, the home of Missouri’s second governor, to learn about the 1800’s thoughts and practices about death. Thornhill will be appropriately dressed for a funeral, and historically dressed docents will explain mourning practices and superstitions. Stroll the grounds to learn more from the washer woman, funeral baker and others. This event may not be appropriate for some children. Please come…the Governor is dying to meet you. Admission is sold at the gate or in advance at the links below or by calling 314-615-8328.
