The Fulton School is an independent, coeducational, Montessori-based school serving children 18 months old through 12th grade. Conveniently located along the Hwy 40 corridor in Chesterfield, we provide an excellent education for children of various backgrounds and learning styles, fostering confidence, philanthropy, and a deep love of learning through independence, initiative, service, and child-centered teaching. Our forward-focused approach emphasizes hands-on learning, critical thinking, and character growth.

The Montessori Method emphasizes independence (to create confidence), concentration (the building block of academic growth), personalized learning (so your child is never bored or overwhelmed), and character (we believe in growing the whole child).

An integral part of our mission is for students to become responsible, respectful, global citizens. In addition to domestic students, we have a variety of Upper School students who visit through cultural exchange programs, as well as those who study here throughout high school through our international boarding program.

We offer a comprehensive music program (that begins in preschool), daily PE classes through 8th grade, outdoor education trips for students starting in 4th grade, volunteer and entrepreneurship opportunities, clubs such as cooking, band, mindfulness, and student council for 7th-12th graders, as well as domestic/international trips and varsity athletics for high schoolers.

Our school-wide Farm Program allows students of all ages to see the growth cycle of fruits and vegetables firsthand, while assisting with the care and keeping of small animals. Currently, our students tend to gardens, chickens, and an apiary.

Our robust Makerspace is a haven for creators of all kinds. Older students can learn how to use use 3D printers, a laser cutter, CNC machine, embroidery machine, vinyl cutter, heat press, not to mention a selection of sanders, planers, drills, and saws, plus every traditional hand tool you could imagine (hammers, files, screwdrivers, etc.). All of this machinery and these tools come together to help teach them mathematics, computer programming, geometry, design, physics, and the value of persistence.

In order to support the many unique gifts and learning styles of its students, The Fulton School also offers a comprehensive Learning Support Program on campus for students who need more one-on-one structure than classroom teachers can provide.

Personal tours are offered throughout the school year at a time that’s convenient for you. Contact us today to schedule a visit.
