Ages for which our activities are most appropriate: 
K-8 school offers classes for Kindergarten through 8th Grade. In the Early Childhood Center, full day classes are available for children 10 weeks to 2 years. Half day, school day, and full day classes are available for 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds.

History

  • Established in 1849 at the intersection of Ballas and Manchester Road in Des Peres
  • Kindergarten classes added in 1959, full-day kindergarten began in 1999, now both full and half-day kindergarten options
  • Pre-school through Grade 2 classes moved to new South Campus building in 2001
  • The School is a charter member of LESA, the St. Louis Lutheran Elementary School Association

Curriculum

Subjects of study include reading and literature, mathematics, science, religion, social studies, history, art, computer, music, health, physical education, language arts, and foreign language (Spanish 1-4, Latin 7-8).

St. Paul's curriculum was developed using Integrating the Faith, LCMS, Parkway School District, Missouri Show-Me Standards and the Lutheran Elementary Schools Association curriculum guides. Curriculum strands are reviewed and revised often.

Technology and Balanced Literacy have been a recent focus on new curriculum.
