Step By Step Counseling
At Step By Step Counseling, we believe every child is capable of growth when they have the right support. We provide evidence-based mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and families in a warm, welcoming environment where relationships come first. Our team specializes in working with children and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, emotional regulation challenges, trauma, grief, OCD, behavioral concerns, school struggles, and family transitions. We also have clinicians with experience supporting foster, adoptive, and kinship families.
We know that every child is different. That's why we offer more than traditional weekly counseling. Families can choose from a variety of services designed to meet their unique needs, including:
- Individual counseling for children, teens, and adults
- Family counseling and caregiver support
- Weekly Homeschooled / virtual learning cohorts for kids to recieve mental health psychoeducation
- Play therapy for young children
- EMDR therapy for children, adolescents, and adults
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for elementary-aged children and middle school aged kids who need a higher level of care than weekly therapy can provide
- Social skills groups
- DBT skills groups for middle school, high school, and adults
- Parent education and coaching
- Clinical supervision and training for mental health professionals
In addition to therapy services, we offer Parent Hub, an online membership designed to support caregivers between therapy sessions. Parent Hub includes hundreds of practical resources, printable handouts, discussion boards, live Q&A opportunities, workshops, and the Insights feature, which allows parents to quickly find brain-based answers using our growing library of educational content. Families can access support whenever they need it, not just during appointments.
Throughout the year, we also offer specialty groups, workshops, homeschool mental health cohorts, parenting classes, and community education events focused on helping children build confidence, emotional regulation, executive functioning, friendship skills, resilience, and healthy coping strategies.
