The Wilson School

As one of St. Louis’s most established independent schools, The Wilson School equips students (ages 3–grade 6) to excel in an ever-changing world. Within our close-knit community of 170 students, small class sizes and two dedicated educators in every room ensure every child receives the individual attention they deserve.
Our youngest learners thrive through a thoughtful balance of creative play and teacher-led activities, enriched by specialists in art, library, French, music, and physical education. In the primary and upper grades, our accelerated curriculum seamlessly integrates foundational mathematics, writing, and problem-solving with cutting-edge coding, intentional technology engagement, strong visual arts, character development, and dedicated social-emotional programming.
This comprehensive foundation positions Wilson graduates for success at the region's most selective secondary schools. Wilson students stand out among their peers as academically advanced, confident, poised, and compassionate leaders with a strong sense of balance.
Centrally located in the historic DeMun neighborhood near WashU and Forest Park, Wilson proudly draws a vibrant student body from more than 30 ZIP codes.
Meet Wilson parents and experience the Wilson Way firsthand. Join us for a playdate at TotSpot Social on Saturday, December 12 (play waiver required here), and one of our open houses on Saturday, November 7, or Thursday, January 14.
